Hungry for Change

One of the new organizations on campus this year is Hungry for Change. Hungry for change is a group that primarily focuses on the hunger issues in our world today. Through our goals, hunger awareness and consciousness-raising, advocacy, fundraising, social action agenda, and academic initiatives, we do all that we can to help resolve world hunger. When I first heard about this group I was really

Honduras

One of the new organizations on campus this year is Hungry for Change. This group primarily focuses on the hunger issues in our world today. This past March I had the opportunity to go to Catacamas, Honduras, with Hungry for Change for the Universities Fighting World Hunger Summit. It was incredible. Here is a video from our trip!

Taking the LSAT

On Monday, June 11, I took the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT). The LSAT is a standardized test designed to test essential skills that will be required in law school. The test consists of five, 35 minute multiple choice sections with between 23-30 questions in each section. There is also a 35 minute written response section at the conclusion of the multiple choice section. One additional caveat

Bucket List – 8 Down, 14 to Go

Hey Bucket Listers! I am SO excited to tell you about my next two tasks! First, I knew I would be going on the choir tour in March, and I would be seeing my very first mountain in person. However, I made a huge goal to just climb one. It didn’t matter to me if I got all the way to the top; I just wanted the experience! On a whim after some free time, a friend and I decided to look for the perfec

Bucket List – 6 Down, 16 to Go

After being a barista for a day, I must have had some rush of courage to complete the most public and brave bucket list tasks I could think of: riding a mechanical bull and speaking in front of a large crowd. In one weekend, I was presented with opportunities to do both of these. On a Saturday night, a friend of mine decided to ask me to go to dinner, and with no set plans, I decided to procrasti

Summer Class

Hello everyone, happy summer! I hope that your break is treating you well. I’ve stayed pretty busy so far between summer classes and working. But I enjoy it. Because summer classes don’t always sound super appealing (come on, who wants to do homework when you could be swimming), I made sure to take classes that I would be really interested in. And hey, when I become a teacher then I can do all

Bucket List – 4 Down, 18 to Go

I am very excited to write about my next two Bucket List items! They turned out to be some of my very favorites and were both equally random. These happened at the very start of my project, and as I was driving one day, I was thinking of ways to complete everything on my list. The list item of “do one random act of kindness” was deeply on my mind. I realized that I was over-thinking one of the

Puppy Love

Hey everyone it’s been almost a year since my family got our puppies! I can’t believe it has been that long. I feel like it was just yesterday that we brought them home. And they say this is “puppy love”. . . and I couldn’t agree more! Anyway, here are some pictures to show how they’ve grown.

History is fetch Thumbnail

History is fetch

Everyone has at least one aspect of school they like; whether it is the social aspect of attending the sporting events or the educational aspect of enjoying a certain class, or even just enjoying lunch time with friends. I leaned more towards the nerdy side in high school because I loved my History class. I’m not going to lie; when I first enrolled in the class I wasn’t overly excited becaus

Bucket List – 2 Down, 20 to Go

So Bucket Listers, the very first thing that I accomplished on my bucket list was baking a cake from scratch. With the help of my two best friends and one of their moms, I did it! Those that know me would say that I couldn’t make toast to save my life, and I wanted to put that statement behind me and bake a cake completely from scratch and edible. Prove them wrong! No more cake mixes for me! My
